Park Ave. Boat Passes On Sale
Park Avenue Beach 2017 boating passes are on sale now for returning 2016 boaters, April 3 for new resident boaters, and April 10 for new non-resident boaters. Season passes can be purchased online at pdhp.org.
Boating at Park Avenue Beach is by season pass only, daily launches are not allowed. Power boaters, sailors, and personal watercraft users have the option to purchase season passes to launch only; store and launch during the boating season only; or store and launch year-round. New this year, paddleboarders can purchase passes to store and launch their standup paddleboards at Park Avenue.
For the 2017 season, parking and traffic at Park Avenue will be managed by the City of Highland Park and all boating operations will be managed by the Park District of Highland Park. The Park District’s boating operations at Park Avenue will run Friday, May 26 through Monday, September 4 from 3 – 7pm on weekdays and 8:30am-6pm on weekends and holidays, weather permitting.
United States Coast Guard (USCG) vessel safety checks will be held May 20 – June 24, every Saturday from 9am – noon at Park Avenue Beach. All motorized and auxilary powered vessels must have current USGC Vessel Safety Checklists completed and on display prior to the first launch of the season. The North Shore Yacht Club building is available for private rentals from June 1 – October 31. The building can accommodate parties of up to 60 guests with seating capacity of up to 45 guests. Rentals include the main hall, firelace lounge kitchen, observation deck and guest parking.
