For over 40 years, Deer Creek Racquet Club has been the north shore’s tennis destination for every member of the family to learn and improve their game, stay in shape and make friends. The club has the distinction of being recognized by the United States Tennis Association as the 2015 Facility of the Year.   Our experienced professional staff provides one of the area’s most comprehensive tennis programs for young and old alike. Whether you are just taking up the game of tennis or you are an experienced player, Deer Creek has an opportunity for you. The club features six climate controlled indoor tennis courts, racquetball & wallyball courts, tennis pro shop, fully equipped locker rooms, a comfortable lobby viewing area overlooking the tennis and racquetball courts, table tennis, indoor golf driving range and a small fitness area.

Benefits of Membership

Membership Refund/Cancellation Policy:
• No refunds, cancellations, or holds for all Deer Creek Racquet Club memberships.
• Memberships are on an annual basis; pro-rating, month-to-month or half year memberships are not available.
• In lieu of a membership, non-member PCT (Permanent Court Time) guests’ only option is to pay a $10 guest fee for each visit.

Outdoor Season

IMG_5777When the weather turns warmer, our program expands out onto our 40 outdoor courts.  We feature 36 hard courts and four clay surfaced courts.  Courts are located at the following locations:

  • Cloverdale Park, 1780 Eastwood Ave,  2 courts
  • Danny Cunniff Park, 2700 Trail Way, 12 courts
  • Larry Fink Memorial Park, 1377 Clavey Rd , 8 courts**

  • Red Oak School, 530 Red Oak Ln, 4 courts
  • Sunset Woods Park, 1801 Sunset Rd, 4* (soft, lighted), 3 (hard) courts*

Sunset Woods Summer Clay Tennis Court Passes
The new pass system will ensure that Highland Park residents and Deer Creek Racquet Club members have access to these great courts.

  • Passes are free for HP residents & Deer Creek Racquet Club members with proof of residency/membership.
  • Non-residents may purchase a pass for $50
  • Passes may be obtained at the Deer Creek Racquet Club front desk Mon-Fri 9am-3pm
  • Residents may also obtain passes on-site at the courts, when an attendant is on duty.
    Clay Court Policies:
  • Hours: Memorial Day to Labor Day until 10pm daily
  • Use of clay courts requires a valid Summer Clay Court Pass.
  • Passholders must have their valid pass with them at all times while on the courts.
  • Passholders may bring guests. However, any guest without a pass MUST play on the same court as the passholder.
  • Attendants hours vary, but spot checks will be performed to ensure pass compliance.
  • As a courtesy, players are encouraged to sweep their own court.

Outdoor Reservation Guidelines
All outdoor HARD courts are FREE, open to the public and have no attendants.  Players are required to use the following rack-up system.

To reserve a court for play, hang your racquet in the designated area for that court prior to the scheduled court change.
You must remain with your racquet to validate your reservation.
Courts must be yielded promptly at the scheduled time.  Please be considerate and allow points in progress to be completed without interruption.

Most courts change on the hour.  There are some 1 & 1/2 hour courts at Larry Fink Memorial Park and Danny Cunniff Park.

All PDHP tennis programs have priority use during spring/summer/camp programs. Dogs are NOT allowed on the courts. Rollerblading, skateboarding and biking are not allowed on the courts.

Cost: One hour court time $100 plus pro cost

Includes: One hour of supervised tennis, two racquetball courts

Corporate Tennis Party (2-hour package):
Cost: One hour court time $100 plus pro cost
Max. in party: 10 players/tennis court
Includes: One hour tennis (cardio tennis, drills, free play), two racquetball courts (wallyball or racquetball) and use of lobby and all
equipment (racquets, safety glasses, tables, chairs for 20 people).

Bar or Bat Mitzvah Party packages available to rent the club; ask Manager for details.

Tennis Party (no package):
One hour court time $100 plus pro cost (10 children/court).

Wallyball or Racquetball Party:
Cost: One hour court time: $56
Max. in party: 8 players/court
Includes: One racquetball court, racquets and safety glasses, and use of lobby (tables and chairs).

Availability

Parties using tennis courts are available seven days a week from 6:30 a.m.-10p.m.  Racquetball, Table Tennis and Wallyball hourly court times are available seven days a week from 6:45 a.m.-9:45 p.m.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday closing times may vary based on court reservations.  Call 847.433.5450 for more information.   All parties using the party room must clean-up after themselves.

Equipment Rental

Deer Creek Racquet Club has two tennis ball machines available for rent for only $5 plus court cost.  We’ll even show you how to set it up.  Additional assistance is provided, if needed.
