The recent economic crisis has caused significant distress for governments, business and individuals from Wall Street to Main Street. However, even with these uncertain economic conditions, the Park District of Highland Park remains financially stable and on track because of our sound financial operations, conservative fiscal policies and strong leadership from both the Board and management staff.

The independent financial rating firm of Moody’s Investors Service, Inc. concurred by recently confirming the District’s Aaa rating. The Park District of Highland Park is one of the two park districts in the United States to obtain this highest rating.

The District maintains its financial strength following conservative fiscal policies which allows the District to provide our residents the highest quality facilities and programs during good or bad economic times.

The Park District’ has been able to sustain its long term financial health, maintain very low debt and retain adequate rainy day resources. The District will continue its fiscal responsibility, use its financial resources wisely to deliver outstanding customer service in its highly recognized parks and recreation to our programs to our community.
