HIGHLAND PARK, Ill., July 25, 2006— A year has come and gone and the Recreation Center of Highland Park is still the place to energize, socialize and revitalize. This fully handicapped-accessible, state-of-the-art facility includes a fitness center, aquatic center, gymnasiums, locker rooms, an indoor cafĂ©, multi-purpose and meeting rooms, group exercise studios and a spin room.
On Saturday, September 30, 2006 the Recreation Center will celebrate its first year. Throughout the day there will be contests (3-Point Contest, Free Throw Contest and a Bench Press Contest) and awards, FREE daily services, which include group fitness classes, open and lap swim times, open gym times and childcare services at the Kid Fit Center. Also, trainers and nutritionist will be available and a 30-minute seminar will be given by a nutritionist. The doors open at 6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Schedules for contests and daily services will be posted at Park District of Highland Park facilities prior to the event.
You could also be a winner. Drawings will be held every Saturday from August 12-September 23 and you could win a $50 American Express gift card. All you have to do is renew your yearly membership or sign up for a yearly membership and you will be entered into the drawing. The sooner you sign up the more chances you have to win! You can also DOUBLE the PRIZE value! If you are a winner from the drawing and upgraded your membership to a PLATINUM membership the prize DOUBLES. A $100 American Express gift card could be yours. Plus you get the benefits of a platinum membership.
