A Donation of Generosity by the Ravinia Garden Club

Release Date: Jun. 9, 2009

HIGHLAND PARK, Ill., June 9, 2009— The Park District of Highland Park received a generous donation on May 18 from the Ravinia Garden Club to fund the planting of shrubs and perennials around the Robinson Bandstand Gazebo at Memorial Park. The donation was given in memory of Arlene Leonard who, according to her daughter, loved to sit on her porch that faced the gazebo.

The Ravinia Garden Club has made contributions to many other projects including the landscaping efforts at historic Jens Jensen Park. For more information, please contact Mike Evans at mevans@pdhp.org or at 847.579.4085.
