Help "Green" Millard Park & Your Backyard This Arbor Day

HIGHLAND PARK, Ill., February 25, 2009— The Park District of Highland Park is working hard to “Be Green” this Arbor Day, and for the first time this year, not only can residents purchase a tree for his/her own yard, but residents can also help “Green” Millard Park and contribute to the restoration efforts on the Lakefront by making a donation that will be used to buy a restoration quality tree to be planted by volunteers this spring.

 

 

Balled and burlapped, evergreen and deciduous trees including Douglas Fir, Sugar Maple and Thornless Hawthorn are available to purchase. Orders will be accepted March 2-May 1 at West Ridge Center, 636 Ridge Road, Highland Park, Ill. All trees will be delivered June 1-5 at no charge to residents living within the city limits of Highland Park.
