Lifeguard

Type of Position: Part Time
Salary: $7-10/hour, depending on certifications and experience

Qualifications:

All Lifeguards will be required to possess current certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED/Child AED and Waterpark lifeguarding.  While certification is desired, the Park District of Highland Park is willing to train qualified candidates.

Duties:

The selected applicants will be responsible for the safety, supervision, discipline and customer service of all persons using the Park District’s outdoor waterpark facility.  Must be willing to work other than normal work hours and be available to work as scheduled based upon the need of the department. Must attend staff training, orientation, and successfully pass lifeguard skills review.  Must be 16 years of age or older. Past experience in lifeguarding and/or aquatic activities is also desirable.
