All Summer Aquatic Memberships will be valid at both Hidden Creek AquaPark and the Recreation Center of Highland Park pool.  Please visit the Recreation Center of Highland Park website for hours and regulations.  This pass does not include access to any other area of the Recreation Center of Highland Park.

A limited number of nonresident families may purchase a Nonresident Season Pass for the 2009 summer season.

In-Person Registration
Both new and returning passholders may register in this manner. Please bring appropriate "Proof of Residency" as listed in the brochure with you at the time of registration. In order to receive your pass, you must provide the appropriate proof of residency. In-person registration may only be done at the following locations:

Mail-In Registration
Mail-in registration starts February 2, 2009 and must be received on or before May 8, 2009. Mail-in registration may only be done by 2008 Season Passholders and must be done in the following manner:

Family Pass Registration
Simply fill out your season pass registration form indicating all of the requested Family Pass information. Be sure to check the box marked returning passholder and indicate whether replacement passes are needed for each family pass member. Include with your registration form the appropriate amount of payment and a photocopy of an approved form of “Proof of Residency” or one of the adult family pass members. Mail or drop off forms after February 2 and on or before May 8 to: Park District of Highland Park, Attn: Hidden Creek AquaPark, 636 Ridge Rd., Highland Park, IL 60035

Additions or other changes to your Family Class

Private Camp Information

Hidden Creek offers opportunity for private camps to use the AquaPark at a reduced rate. For $7 per camper (Counselors are Free!) your group can enjoy the day in a grass gathering area and enjoy use of the entire facility. Our parking lot accommodates bus drop-off and pick-up and times e available from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday (June 15-August 21). Celebrate your party at Hidden Creek! No matter what your age, you’ll have fun speeding down the water slides, free falling from the drop slide, climbing through the water playground, building sand castles in the sand area or just relaxing on the deck. Hidden Creek provides an area to stage the party!

Option 1: Grass Area/Concession Deck
Hidden Creek will provide you with a cozy area for your group to gather, eat, and open presents!  In the Grass Area option, tables and chairs can be setup to your liking, with sunny and shade areas available. The Concession Deck option allows patrons to use picnic tables on the patio area near the concession stand.  For both areas, arrangements can be made to provide food from the concession stand.  No outside food is permitted for parties please contact Stash's at 224.628.3722 for party package information.

$40 nonrefundable rental fee and $5 per person ($3 per person during twilight hours). Pool passes are not valid for parties.

Option 2: Wood Deck
Have your party on the elevated, covered wood deck at Hidden Creek! It’s your own special area for celebrating set apart from the rest of the crowd at Hidden Creek. Hidden Creek will set up tables and chairs on the wood deck for your guests and arrangements can be made to provide food from the concession stand.  No outside food is permitted for parties please contact Stash's at 224.628.3722 for party package information.

Policies

Proof of Residency
In order to protect the interest of Highland Park residents, the following procedures have been implemented. To qualify for a season pass or to be eligible to purchase a resident daily fee, you must provide one of the following to prove your Highland Park residency: 

Children, Ages 4-15
Parent/guardian shall provide a birth certificate showing proof of a parental relationship between the child and the adult(s) applying for a season pass.

Adults, Ages 16 & up

  1. Current driver’s license with a Highland Park address.
  2. State of Illinois identification card with a Highland Park address.
  3. Real estate tax bill (prior year) with the owner’s name and a Highland Park address.
  4. Current automobile registration with name and Highland Park address. Applicant must also present corresponding photo ID.
  5. Copy of a real estate contract with a Highland Park address stating a closing date. Applicant must also present corresponding photo ID.

Inclement Weather - Low Bather Policy

Hidden Creek AquaPark’s operating hours are subject to prevailing weather conditions, including cold weather, electrical storms and heavy rains. The pool will close for the morning if fewer than 25 swimmers are present after 11:00 a.m. or if the temperature is 65-degress or less. If lightning and/or thunder are seen/heard the pool will be cleared and will not re-open until 30 minutes pass without lightning or thunder. If weather conditions persist, the pool will be closed.

If the facility closes for the morning the weather will be re-evaluated at 2:00 p.m. to determine whether the facility will re-open at 3:00 p.m. The pool will close for the afternoon if fewer than 25 swimmers are present after 4:00 p.m. or if the temperature is 65-degress or less. If lightning and/or thunder are seen/heard the pool will be cleared and will not re-open until 30 minutes pass without lightning or thunder. If weather conditions persist, the pool will be closed.

Year-Round Aquatics

The Park District of Highland Park is proud to offer aquatic opportunities year-round at the Recreation Center of Highland Park. In addition to lap and open swim times, group and private swim lessons are offered for all ages. There is also a full complement of water aerobic classes and the pool is available for rental.  Please click here for the Recreation Center of Highland Park’s current Aquatic Schedule. The Recreation Center of Highland Park is also a great option on rainy days when Hidden Creek is closed!

Rules and Regulations

  • Adult safety break is every two hours for 15 minutes during public swim hours.
  • Children ages three and under are admitted to pool free of charge.
  • Children ages 10 and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult (16 or older).
  • Inflatable toys, water wings and fins are not allowed at the pools except during family swim, and then only at the discretion of management.
  • Patrons must follow all rules and regulations governing the use of aquatic facilities.
  • While in the pool, all children who are not toilet-trained must wear a swimming diaper with plastic pants that seal at the legs and waist. These are available for purchase at the front desk.
