Welcome to the Park District of Highland Park’s Youth Lacrosse Program. The Park District offers lacrosse for both boys and girls. The boys lacrosse teams will be run by NXT Sports. The girls lacrosse teams will be run by Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association.

Boys Lacrosse Program

NXT Sports and the Park District of Highland Park are excited to offer our better-than-ever lacrosse program. This program will provide instruction and competitive games for both new and advanced players alike. NXT Sports will provide outstanding seasoned Head Coaches for each team. The Head Coach of each team will be present at all games and practices. All players must provide their own equipment including helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, mouth guard, and sticks.

Girls Lacrosse Program

The Park District and Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association have teamed up to offer the best youth lacrosse experience for the girls. The goals of the program are to understand the rules of lacrosse, active teamwork, sportsmanship, and fostering personal development in a respectful environment led by positive coaching. All players will receive equal playing time. Each player must have goggles, a stick, and a mouth guard for practices and games.

Pink and Purple Leagues – IGLA offers two levels of league play, Pink and Purple.

Both are recreational, community lacrosse. Pink teams practice once a week. Purple teams practice twice a week and may travel more often for games. Players must first attend an assessment day in order to participate in a Purple League (for assessment day schedule, visit iglax.com)
