COVID-19: Facility & Program Status Update

10/12/20 –

COVID-19 Resources | FAQs

The Park District is closely following the Governor’s Restore Illinois Plan, as well as guidelines provided by the CDC,  Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the City of Highland Park. Our priority is to return recreational activities safely and responsibly to parks, beaches, sports fields, and facilities for the social, emotional, and physical well-being of the community as soon as permissible.
The Park District has adopted a comprehensive plan for reopening. The plan is fluid and updated regularly as new information is released. We ask for your patience and understanding as difficult decisions are being made regarding our reopening. We appreciate your compliance with safety guidelines and procedures when visiting and recreating at our parks and facilities.

Keeping Our Facilities Safe and Clean

Now more than ever, we are all conscious of staying healthy and only being in clean, safe environments. Our staff members follow strict, consistent sanitation and safety protocols to ensure you and your family are in the safest environments you can be while at our facilities. The Park District of Highland Park has also invested in new state-of-the-art air filtration systems at the Recreation Center of Highland Park, Deer Creek Racquet Club, Centennial Ice Arena, and West Ridge Center.

We are all safe when we all work together. Keeping your Park District clean and safe, so you and your family can maintain your healthy lifestyle is our top priority.  To learn more about the daily investments we are making in your health and safety at our facilities, watch this important video.
