COVID-19: Facility & Program Status Update
1/19/21- Governor Pritzker announced that our region has met the required metrics and can now move to the less stringent Tier 2 Mitigations. Tier 2 allows groups of ten people to participate at indoor facilities including Group Exercise classes (masks must continue to be worn). As a result of these changes, many of our winter programs and other services that had been previously paused can start. Fitness floor remains at 25% capacity.
Health and Safety: Priority One
We must all do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19. Our residents’ health and safety are and always will be our top priority. Rest assured, we are committed to continuing recreational opportunities within the mitigation guidelines to keep you and your family active while also keeping you safe and healthy. Together, we can help flatten the number of COVID-19 cases and allow our Park District to return all in-person recreational activities and programs safely and responsibly to our facilities for the social, emotional, and physical well-being of the community.
Below are the details on how the Park District is responding to the new mitigation orders.
Registered Programs
All in-person fall programs have either been canceled, transitioned to a virtual platform, or moved to an outdoor environment. For any programs that have been canceled, customer accounts will be credited a pro-rated amount for the number of sessions missed. We appreciate your patience as our registration team processes all credits. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact registrations@pdhp.org.
All Winter programs scheduled to begin later in November or early December have been temporarily put on pause. More information will be provided to class participants in the coming weeks.
