The Swim Instructor is responsible for teaching group and private structured lessons ranging from beginners to advanced level swimmers. Duties include instructing the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program to participants ages three to adult and attending staff training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing swimming instruction.
• Cleaning of pool deck.
• Place and remove lane lines.
• Organize pool equipment.
• Pull out or remove equipment carts.
• Set up or take down the lap flags.
• Perform all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the District’s safety program.
• Assist in the set up and organization of the pool office.
• Field and answer any patron questions to the best of his or her ability.
• Other Park District related duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $15.00-$16.00 Hourly
