The Park District of Highland Park is one of the largest park districts in Illinois  offering diverse parks and recreation opportunities throughout the community. The park district is comprised of over 756 acres of land in 44 park areas and nine facilities and offers a over 3,000 distinct programs, special events and activities  annually.   The dedication and energy of our community partners and generous donors enables us to expand programs and take on projects we could not otherwise do.

Sponsorship & Advertising Opportunities

Donations

Commemorative Donations

Are you looking for a meaningful way to commemorate a special event or memorialize a loved one?   Your donation of a tree, bench, or brick paver is a unique way to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries or remembrances and improves our community’s parks and facilities.   Proceeds from your donation benefit the Parks Foundation of Highland Park, a 501 (c) 3 organization that directly serves Highland Park residents by supporting the mission of the Park District.

Park Tree
Choose from a selection of trees in a selected park. A 2.75” x 5” raised lettering plaque is displayed at the base of your tree. Exact location will be coordinated at time of purchase and is subject to approval by Park District staff. Orders are accepted throughout the year. New Tree:  $1,500 (The Park District is responsible for the warranty of your new commemorative tree for a maximum of three years from the planting date. 
Existing Tree: $1,000

Park Bench
A commemorative bench is the perfect way to accent one of our parks and provides a special place of recognition. Park benches are 6-foot-wide with recycled plastic slats faux panels and cast iron supports and reside on a concrete bench pad. A personalized 2.75” x 5” raised lettering plaque in honor of your loved one with your special message is included. Park Bench: $3,000 (includes bench, installation, upkeep, and a recognition plaque) the bench and plaque are guaranteed for ten years from the date of installation. 

Sunset Valley Golf Club Commemorative Bricks  
Recognition on the walkway between the #8 tee box and to the right of the #9 green (adjacent to the clubhouse) will be given on a 4″ x 8″ brick paver. A message is engraved with wording of your choice. Maximum of three lines with up to 15 characters per line, including spaces and punctuation. Major Gifts

The Park District of Highland Park also offers individuals and organizations the opportunity to give major gifts such as underwriting the cost of playgrounds, buildings and additions, or gifting an item to one of our facilities. Parks Foundation

Established in 2016, the Parks Foundation of Highland Park is a 501 (c) 3 charitable corporation that directly serves all residents of Highland Park and works closely with the Park District of Highland Park to support its mission “To enrich community life through healthy leisure pursuits and an appreciation for the natural world.” 

The Foundation believes that every resident deserves the opportunity for an enriched healthy life, and we strive to provide the resources necessary to ensure everyone in Highland Park has access to the benefits of our park district. Major initiatives include: 

The Parks Foundation directly serves all residents of Highland Park and indirectly anyone outside the city that uses the services, programs, or facilities provided by the Park District of Highland Park.
