Bundle-up and head outside to join The Alliance for Early Childhood in partnership with Heller Nature Center and the Park District of Highland Park to engage in imaginative, and child-directed, outdoor free-play. Paint the snow, go ice fishing with our magnetic fish, build forts, and make some icy art pieces.
Sunday, November 9, 5pm: A winter storm warning is in effect for our area from 9pm this evening until 6am Monday. Dangerous travel conditions will develop overnight with snow rates of 3 inches per hour, localized snow accumulations in excess of 10 inches, and wind gusts in excess of 30 mph are possible.
