Pickleball is America’s fastest-growing sport and provides a wonderful opportunity for the community to enjoy a healthy activity with friends and neighbors. To accommodate the growing demand in Highland Park, the Park District offers leagues and lessons and is adding more opportunities to play pickleball indoors and outdoors!

Introducing Club Pickle & Padel

The Park District of Highland Park is bringing the largest indoor pickleball and padel facility to the North Shore: Club Pickle & Padel!

Located at 2205 Skokie Valley Road, this new domed facility will feature 10 pickleball courts and 4 padel courts, with state-of-the-art amenities for players of all ages and abilities.

The 50,000 sq. ft. heated complex offers year-round play, with the North Shore’s first padel courts and plenty of space to escape the elements.

Outdoor Pickleball Guidelines

Courts 1-6 are available ONLY on a reservation basis and will not operate under the paddle-up system under any circumstance. If a player would like to reserve Courts 1-6, please download the Club Pickle & Padel App found on the Apple/Android App Store.

If courts 7-16 are open and no one is waiting, you can use any available court.

Once courts are full, players are required to use the paddle-up system to determine the order of play as follows:

Players must wear tennis shoes with non-marking insoles to ensure safety and protection of the court surface.

All Park District programs have priority use of the courts. Only Park District staff are permitted to provide lessons on the courts; each occurrence subject to a FINE: PD Ord. Sec. 6.02; 7.01; 2.33 (d). Pickleball play only on these courts – no rollerblades, skateboards, bicycles or dogs allowed. Play is prohibited when snow or ice are present. Shoveling is strictly prohibited.

Yes, staff has posted rules to govern the use of all Park District Courts. Players will self-monitor the rules and use of the courts.

When are the outdoor pickleball courts available?

Courts are available year-round; they are closed during winter months while snow is on the ground.
