“A DAY ON, NOT A DAY OFF!”

An annual event honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Appropriate for all ages, participants complete service projects to benefit the surrounding community.

The Day of Service program is a joint signature event of the City of Highland Park, the City’s Human Relations Advisory Group and the Park District of Highland Park, bringing together Highland Park residents and neighbors throughout the North Shore for on-site service projects, engaging presentations, and special performances, to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Drive-through Donations

9-10:30am

  • Please pre-sort and label donations by organization. This will allow volunteers to sort your donations inside the Senior Center.
  • Follow the signage to the Donation Drop-Off point under the porte cochere, by the entrance to the Highland Park Senior Center. 
  • Drivers should remain in their vehicles at all times. 
  • A volunteer will unload your donations and ensure they are directed to the proper organization.
