The Park District of Highland Park is teaming up with The Golf Practice again this summer to deliver the most comprehensive approach to golf training on the North Shore. Through The Golf Practice’s multi-level camps and programs, your junior golfer has a complete path from beginner to high school varsity golfer, and beyond.
What makes The Golf Practice different?
The Golf Practice takes a holistic approach, helping students build athleticism, coordination, and confidence on and off the course. Camps feature fast-paced stations and energetic coaches to spark curiosity and a love for the game. As skills grow, players can advance to High School Prep 11u and 14u Camps for the next level of training.
Half Day Golf Camp
Ages 5-11
The Experience:
Half Day Golf Camp, Level 1 of our three Summer Camps offered in Highland Park, is for beginners or students with limited experience. Over 30 years of junior golf training has taught us that students must first show curiosity before learning can occur. We foster this curiosity through fun gameplay, colorful stations, and our high-energy coaches. While your junior golfer will learn the fundamentals, our main focus of this camp is to show students that golf is fun. We guarantee your junior golfer has never experienced a golf camp like this!
Friend pairing requests are (usually) granted and club rental is available.

High School Prep 11u Summer Camp (formerly Travel Camp)
Ages: 8-11
The Experience:
High School Prep 11u Summer Camp is Level 2 of golf camp offerings at The Golf Practice. Designed for players who have previous golf experience and are looking to take their skills to the course. While more serious than Half Day Camp, instructional themes are still introduced using gameplay, fun competitions, and on-course team formats. Participants in the 11u Summer Camp will spend time each day at the HP Golf Learning Center honing their skills in a fun, engaging way and playing 9 holes of golf at Sunset Valley Golf Club. A hired school bus will transport golfers between facilities. Students must be able to walk 9 holes. Push carts are welcome.

High School Prep 14u Summer Camp (formerly High School Prep Camp)
Ages: 12-14
The Experience:
High School Prep 14u Summer Camp is Level 3 of golf camp offerings at The Golf Practice. Designed for students who have the goal to play on their high school’s golf team. Students must have significant on-course experience and be interested in refining their skills and mechanics to improve their scores. The most serious of the three camps, 14u Summer Camp campers begin to prepare for High School golf through more intentional practice and deliberate preparation. 14u Summer Camp will spend equal time at the HP Golf Learning Center developing a consistent technique that can hold up under tournament pressure and put that technique to the test by playing 9 holes of golf at Sunset Valley Golf Club. A hired school bus will transport golfers between facilities. Students must be able to walk 9 holes. Push carts are welcome.
