Little Giants Sideline Cheer

The Little Giants Sideline Cheer Program is a dynamic and spirited opportunity for local students in grades 4-8 to develop their cheerleading skills while supporting the community. This program is designed to bring energy and excitement to the sidelines as participants cheer on the Little Giants Youth Tackle Football team throughout their season. Through a focus on motion technique, jumps, stunting, chants, and teamwork, cheerleaders build confidence, enhance their performance abilities, and foster school spirit. Beyond the sidelines, the program emphasizes leadership, camaraderie, and personal growth, making it an excellent way for young athletes to engage with their peers and take pride in representing their team and community.

Time Commitment

As your coaches, we dedicate our time and passion to this team, and it is just as important for all team members to do the same. Together, we create an environment of teamwork, trust, and community spirit, making every practice and performance a meaningful experience. We emphasize the importance of commitment—not only to your teammates and stunt group but also to being a leader in our community. These values are what make this program so special!

Our main season runs from June through November. We kick things off in June with a weeklong summer camp, where athletes bond as a team, learn all football sideline cheers, and are placed into their stunt groups for the season.

Throughout the summer, cheerleaders are encouraged to continue building their tumbling skills and practice their cheers independently. Once everyone returns from summer vacations and camps, we jump right into our weekly Friday practices.

During the season, we proudly cheer for the Little Giants Youth Football teams, including approximately six home games, plus a special opportunity to cheer at a high school football game at Wolters Field. This season also marks an exciting new chapter as we prepare for competition season. Our team will represent Highland Park, competing against other youth cheer programs across the Chicago area. We work hard to look confident, sharp, and spirited—on and off the field!

Wear the Blue, Black and White with Pride!

Our cheerleaders will be ready to shine both on and off the field! Practice outfits will be required, and on game days and at community events, Sideline Cheerleaders will proudly represent in their blue and white game day uniforms from head to toe. With exceptional spirit, pride, and a polished, unified look, we will cheer as one—professional, confident, and full of energy!
