“Our son has been a part of the park district baseball program for the past 6 years. He has always played on a summer house league team and has loved every season. The PDHP house league program is the perfect combination of instruction and fun while being part of a team playing in real game situations. The experienced coaches are truly invested in the children’s success whether they’re a recreational or travel player. The house league program is the perfect opportunity for kids to get involved in the sport and have fun at the same time.” Nancy Greenberg, PDHP Baseball parent

“The coaching and mentorship is everything we could have hoped for in a little league program, including outstanding lessons in leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, work ethic, empathy and, of course, the finer points of baseball technique.  The coaches were highly engaged (and very patient!) throughout the season and were quick to grasp and develop player strengths.  They were also very attentive in recognizing areas of improvement and made a clear and diligent effort to enhance underdeveloped skills.  We were very pleased that all of the team members received equal playing time at numerous different positions throughout each game, and each player was readily recognized for their contributions to the team along with individual achievements.  Finally, and most importantly, our sons greatly improved as baseball players and grew as young men.  Thank you very much for all of your efforts.  We look forward to many more seasons of PDHP baseball.” Kevin & Katherine McDonough, PDHP Baseball parents

Park District of Highland Park takes pride in hosting outstanding tournaments at some of the best facilities on the North Shore!
It was a great tournament!  As I shared with you, the fields are very impressive, just immaculate!!  Everyone running the scoreboards and prepping the fields was great — and very hospitable.  It is the best run tournament we attend.  I hope to send many more of our teams next year.” –David Haracz, Evanston Baseball

“Thanks for a great experience!  We have played in this tournament 3 times and each time it keeps getting better.  Fields were top notch, communication was excellent and the umpires were the best I have seen in 10 years of travel baseball.  The kids felt very special being announced in the championship game.  They loved the opportunity to play on fields with shorter fences. “-Jeff Griesser, Warren Baseball

“The HP firecracker tournament is extremely well run.  Communication was clear, the fields are great and the Park District of HP clearly cares about putting on a great event.”Rob Reddy, Deerfield Baseball
